Split system/Wall mounted air conditioners

Split system/Wall mounted air conditioners are probably the most common units used in a residential environment. These have an indoor and outdoor unit. The indoor unit is fixed to the wall, and the outdoor unit is fixed to the wall or installed on the ground outside.

The two main advantages are that wall units are always the budget meeting options to install; they are also easy to retrofit in rooms without the need for building works or redecoration. They are long, thin and placed at a high level on the wall. They are also exceptionally quiet and there are made in providing different options meeting your desire.  A single wall unit will usually be able to cool most rooms and  they are superb looking units.

  • Needs to be permanently mounted on an outside wall by a certified professional.

Ducted Refrigerated AC Units

Ducted Refrigerated Systems are a bit pricier, but they are certainly the most aesthetically pleasing solution. Ducted home air conditioning systems can be used to cool multiple rooms. The ductwork and cooling unit(s) are hidden within a false ceiling or loft space, so all that you see is a small neat grille in the ceiling.

There are various grille designs available, which suit different shapes and sizes of room. Our surveyors will talk you through the various solutions, so you’ll achieve the exact look you’re after.

Please note that these are best fitted as part of a building project as they require a ceiling void to house both the ducting and the air conditioning unit itself.

Pros of Ducted Refrigerated Ac units

  • Ducted air conditioning is probably the quietest and most versatile of all aircon systems. They are ideal for any places looking for balanced air distribution around the room.
  • Provide an even air distribution across large spaces.
  • Ducted  Refrigerated systems can be retro-fitted. However, they are best installed as part of a building project / refurbishment where we can plan and work alongside your architect (or builder) to ensure that there is sufficient space within the ceiling void or above the suspended ceiling to accommodate the hidden ducted unit.

Cons of Ducted Refrigerated Ac units

  • It is important to note that you don’t have individual control of each grille on a ducted system. The whole system is either ‘On’ or ‘Off’.
